@travismayo: Acquired savant syndrome is one of the most documented and least understood phenomena in neuroscience. People with no musical ability sitting down and playing piano at a concert level after a brain injury. Artists who never held a brush producing masterpieces after a stroke. The leading theory isn't that the injury created something new. It's that it removed a suppression mechanism. Which raises one question worth sitting with. What might the uninjured brain be holding back in the rest of us. #TravisMayo #learning #SavantSyndrome #Neuroscience #HiddenPsychology
Not sure I’m convinced, playing the piano requires muscle memory, physical skills not easily replicated from hearing something,

Trauma can transform the nervous system. 3-6 months and something new will emerge, something you learn out of nowhere that is hard to explain to yourself and even harder to others.

I went through menopause unmedicated and the cognitive upgrade was so immense I'm still trying to catch up with it.

Are those cases really documented? I haven't heard for one case other than movies.

There is a theory that I think ties to this too, that as long as enough of any species learn something then all have access to it as a species even generations later, so i think sometimes its brain trauma, other times its spontaneous, other times its religious/spiritual "awakenings", all the same thing and I think acquired savant is because its something you have a direct correlation to, while in other cases it seems random somehow. look up the rat study on the maze learning for up to 6 generations after the first who learnt and from different places. So I maybe this helped us almost simultaneously discover things in so many different places with seemingly no connection at all.

knowledge is power, as in, an energetic channel to tune into.
the information is there, just depends on which channel a person is tuning into or syncing with.

Perhaps the brain acts as a satellite. The injury strengthens its connection with “the music or math channel”.

Complex math cannot be "unleashed" from a brain that learned it. I believe it was learned elsewhere outside that brain and teleported after the injury.
