I don’t think just adding another level is the solution to the gear comparison issue - or at least not the complete solution. I think requiring the actual test data to be readily available is the only solution to this, otherwise you will always have a segment of the market that is always aiming for the bare minimum of a given level, while others aim to exceed it, and consumers have no way of knowing which is which. I also think we need a law change that requires online retailers to include the complete CE product label on product pages - particularly an issue IME trying to compare gloves or boots. I shouldn’t have to go digging to find the information that has to be on the item by statute!

I have the MK2, never had a problem with ventilation at all. the Knox armour is also quite soft and malleable. I don't see the chest protector which should be the first thing you buy with this jacket

Hi. I was surprised to see you chose Rheon armor since it scored quite low in the MotoCAP tests. I get that you're making a compromise for airflow, but why not go for the D3O Aero Pro L2? They offer great ventilation and perform better in the tests.

fort9 made a good point about this impact rating. my jacket has an in motion airbag system. but the forces applied in a crash are vast so it's no wonder the armour isn't going to stop a break but it will work to reduce impact forces
