Use 3M cutting compound for the bigger marks and also yellow top 3m for the fine stretches and swirl marks also use a DA polisher and a wool pad there amazing

hold the buffer flat and flush with the car if you have it at an angle you’re gonna get these weird swirl marks

As a detailer the compond on windows will be fine just wash the car when your done. Your good to just go ahead and polish it without anymore prep. I would use a DA polisher instead of a rotary though

Those scratches are called tracers, theyre coming from contaminates on your sandpaper ive been through it with a driveway paint job before
