Heater uses heater core which uses hot circulating water from engine. No petrol wasted. Putting yourself through this for nothing.

Ma'am someone lied to you. Your engine generates heat, which is transferred to your coolant, the boiling hot coolant is diverted to something called a heater radiator which sits inside your heater box. The heater box has a fan inside it and that fan blows cold air onto the heater radiator, the air gets heated up and is blown into your car. So please which on your heater, you are not saving fuel

Apparently, car heating is waste heat from a running engine. It does not use or cost you any extra fuel. Even the heater fan uses battery power not fuel.
