my question is, how long was that frozen fruit out of the freezer for it to not be cold to the touch and also not feel kinda squishy to the person who put them back on the shelves? I'm actually more inclined to believe a customer just left them there when they changed their minds.

it was probably a customer to be honest, frozen food and non-frozen food doesn't get delivered together, sometimes it's not even the same team working on them, they have a 'frozen crew' that just deals with frozen food.

the frozen ones have blue packaging (standard) or white packaging with a blue label (lower calorie greek yogurt version). the freeze dried are colorful (standard) or white with colorful labels (creme version). the only ones i could see getting mixed up are frozen blueberry with greek yogurt and freeze dried bluberry with creme, since they are both white with blue labels, altho the blues are different shades.

as someone who works in a grocery store sometimes chocolate covered items come in refrigerated pallets, still super stupid that this happened but the box might have Also been cold.

one time i was at a grocery store and i decided to look at the top shelf of tortillas, thinking i found spinach ones because they were entirely green....it was entirely moldy and i was horrified 😭

used to have this issue with olipops all the time. one tiny little line of text below the rim differentiated the shelf stable and refrigerated

it's not the manufacturers fault that someone takes a case pack. off a frozen pallet. delivered to a freezer. and stocks it in the dry aisle. that's the employees fault.
