It’s chewy, sour, a little sweet, and if you love tart snacks, it is honestly one of the best things ever. And the alooche I had here was the juicy kind, which is usually preserved so it stays soft, wet, and full of that sour, salty, tangy juice that makes it hit even harder. I also had those little pomegranate seed sour snacks, which are usually pomegranate seeds mixed or coated with sour seasoning, salt, and sometimes a little fruit paste or syrup, so they get that sticky, tart, addictive flavor. This is exactly why Persian snacks are elite. It is not just one flavor. It is sour, salty, juicy, chewy, messy, and so nostalgic all at once. For me, lavashak is way more than a snack.
