This happened to me to the letter. My boss got fired when he got a new boss and then she appointed someone who was insanely critical and who criticized me no matter what I did and I was eventually let go. I did however get a very generous severance.

I got swapped twice within a year and that year I got no bonus, no raise and a meets occasionally 😑, made sure the following year all my coworkers submit performance reviews for me because I don't know what else to do to prove I'm useful to management

I gave a notice that I was leaving my job but for a new one and they let me go the same day. But I told a few people I was giving a notice fast forward next week to or other meeting my manager told everyone that I walked out on the job and just quit which was a lie

all of my performance evaluations were great. I was let go because of "company restructuring" after they had me train my replacement on my job and had promised me I wouldn't be fired after our secondary warehouse closed (I was the analyst who managed that warehouse)

Yep, after 2 years of this supervisors reign, this happened. Literally 0 previous managers (who moved around in the company) gave me a bad performance review. Other departments loved how insightful and thoughtful I was. But this supervisor pushed out some of the best of my team.
