@scartelazam: Such innovative acts of mourning and lamentation (Bid'ah of Grief) was adopted by shia sects in remembrance of the martyrdom of Hussein the son of Ali. Such acts include public wailing,chest-beating,self-flagellation (striking with chains) and the reciting of fabricated elegies done on the 10th day of ashuurah are all practices entirely lacking authentic foundation in Islamic texts.
