The apartment has so much vintage charm and it deserves to be displayed! You’re doing a great job, I completely understand this situation. I’m so glad that once o got married and moved out of my families place. The cycle of keeping so much things for “just in case”, “when we have our own house”, or “it’s for a special occasion”; it’s ending with me. Your patience will be rewarded, keep it up and your parents will surely come around. 😁

One recommendation is also build the habit of keeping it up. This is so important with parents that collect things. I sometimes had to visit my grandma and just check up and re teach the habit of keeping it clutter free.
