Young lady, I totally understand that it is dangerous to leave. I did not have a supportive family and it took me 17 years to get out. I truly understand how hard it is to leave.

I lost most people under the disguise that they didn’t want to choose sides…despite me getting a non-mol and police wanting to press charges against him. Or they said they didn’t see that side of him….

100% gets way worse after you leave. U think you were at breaking point when u finally left but omg thats just the beginning as uve seen them now for who they are. A good support system is everything at this time

It’s not as easy as leaving and when you have children you have to cope with their needs and also your so worn down finding the strength and support is not always easy !!!

it was mostly Christians who abandoned me when I finally chose divorce. even those who knew all the details of the infidelity, emotional abuse and financial abuse. I was told "give it another year". I wonder if I had turned up to church with bruises and a black eye would they have said the same? because apparently years of non-physical abuse isn't enough to justify divorce. Christians can be the worst at this (I still have a faith but very scarred by how church treated me). it was only my non-Christian friends who ever told me "well done" for getting out and it took me a long time to heal my view of God being angry at me for divorcing and realising He actually congratulated me too for using the option I had.
