can't have a Waterloo without the classic twin battles of Quatre Bras and Ligny. https://www.napoleon-series.org/reviews/military/c_ligny.html

What’s your opinion on the epic history tv YouTube channel? I really enjoy their videos on the napoleonic wars but I’m never sure if they are 100% accurate

Grouchys orders were written badly it said peruse not get between the Prussians and Brit’s along the road to Waterloo, also he was afraid of disobeying his orders

Absolutely 100%, Zack. Literally just finished reading Field’s book and it’s the best book on the battle I’ve read in years. Changed my understanding significantly.

One thing I hate about the books all books about waterloo is alot of then are written in academic jargon. Its not explained in a way an average person could get i would laugh if someone made a real book.Like showing mobilization tables like when was the main Austrian done concentrating. When did the main Russian army reach the Rhine. What is scharawenberg actual field strength and is the army of Italy field strength etc what is Spain field strength.Thats what I would absolutely love if someone made a book like that about the 1815 campaign the average person could understand.A book that demonstrates paper strength vs field strength. Now that would be the book worth buying.

Who would you say should get more of the credit for winning Waterloo, Wellington or Blucher and why? I personally think Wellington, but I think Blucher was really important

ordered the first one! I'm visiting Belgium for the first time next month and Waterloo is on the visit list! (My poor family shall suffer a Napoleonist ep on Waterloo during the drive haha) I tend to read more Napoleonic maritime history books. However, I did enjoy the longest afternoon by Brenden Simms, short book on the 2KGL in La Hayes Sainte
