I have so much respect for this women. The way she takes accountability for the fact that it was a freak accident that could have been prevented. She’s not placing blame on herself or her husband but is still not trying to blame anything else. She’s seriously is an inspiration to parents who have gone through the same thing

This is how I felt when my preterm baby passed in the NICU. It just made me feel like “Why is that better for him? Was I not going to be a good enough parent? Was our love not enough for this to be the best place for him?”. I know some people just don’t know what to say, but the best thing to do at that point is a hug or a “I’m here if you need me”

I don’t think people understand how insensitive some of the cliché sayings are. Misery loves company shouldn’t be a negative thing. This is when I understood it bc, to me I needed the company. I just wanted someone to sit with me. Not to fix it. There’s no fixing it. Can’t even think straight to have a conversation just purely the company.
