Did you see the recent study about them teaching birds to video call each other? They formed a community and friendships and taught each other things they’d learned from their owners. The birds that called other birds more had just as many incoming calls as well, they even learned to recognize each others owners

I read about the birthday party Irene threw for Alex one year, and she gave him cake for the first time to try. Alex had had sweet foods before and he had bread before but he had never had cake. This is my boy Kermit and he cracks me up everyday with the things he does! He mimics soooo many things randomly! He’ll see my dog walking over to his water bowl and before he even starts drinking Kermit will start making slurping sounds that sound just like my dog drinking water. He noticed me telling the squirrels to get off my outdoor bird feeder and now when he sees a squirrel on my bird feeder he’ll yell, “SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! Get! Get! GET OUT OF THEREEEE! Go! GO! GO AWAYYYYYY!”
