So many kids going “well I need YouTube to help me revise” and seem to have no idea that revision textbooks exist for that very purpose

Unfortunately the damage is already done when some parents hand their kids tablets at such a young age. They won’t know what to do outside unless parents teach them. I’m not saying that screen time is bad but when it’s introduced at such a young age it’s harder to then take it away

As someone in their 30s who grow up with msn messenger, chat rooms, unfettered access to extreme sites, and the early days of YouTube . Looking back I can see no positives but lots of negatives. Modern social media is even more harmful as it’s targeting you specifically.
