The yield curve is made up of treasury securities, it tells us investor demands. If yields are increasing, investors are demanding more compensation for inflation, growth, or even increasing debt… it’s more compensation for the decline in purchasing power. Now, spitting where yield is increasing gives us more insight. Short term inflation expectations have been creeping up and you can see this with the 2year in creasing more than the 10year. So now… we watch the price action :) See not that hard! You just need the right teacher and finance is less complicated.

as I understand the banks are hedging by buying 2 year t - note so that when the fomc decides to raise the interest rate they are protected from more expanses on the deposits . also shouldn't 2 year t note be at the middle of where the market thinks that the fed interest rate will be from now and 2 years in the future? does this means that market is calculating 3 hikes in 2 years period ? please educate me in this matter
