My husband and I own a company, and as life goes, we have both been taking on more and more, both becoming more and more stressed. The house has fallen apart, laundry doesnt get done, we are both irritable, our son gets in trouble at school. I said I need to step back. I know this is our battle but I think the best way I can fight it with you is being a wife and supporter. I still do the backend stuff I enjoy, but I need to be a wife and mother for this to work. He couldnt agree more. 2 weeks in and our life has changed drastically. When he has a hard day, I put my stress aside and I can care for him. When I had a hard day, he puts his aside and cares for me. It is a much better trade off, because its 'who can give 100% and who cant' instead of us both giving 100% all the time and somehow life being worse because of it for both of us.

I remember when my baby has sudden colic ep and I'm so overwhemed I cried. my mom heard me (I live with my parents postpartum) and come at the same time my husband come home from work. my mom takes my baby, my husband dress me up then take me out to calm my self down. we ate lunch, buys some diapers for the baby, buy snacks for me. and then go home with a calm heart. IT IS THAT IMPORTANT TO HAVE SUPPORT!!! EMOTIONALLY!! AND PHYSICALLY!!!

Flowers aren't necessary and dates can be a bit difficult in the beginning. But sure, a little initiative like perhaps making her special by spending time with her at home and making sure she feels loved consistently and appreciate what she does do help a lot with the mental load.

Two kids with medical issues, no sleep in 3 years for me, he slept soundly every night, his solution was to put in the papers and start over somewhere else. Honestly not much changes for me, only the divorce sucks
