They already tried asking Elon to help feed the hungry and he told them to bring him a plan. They failed. they just wanted money. He asked how thus would be sustainable and they didnt have an answer. just wanted even more money.

dude i spend $75 bucks a month on food. that with a budget that allows for steak twice a month, chicken and pork chops and hamburger the rest of the month, and junk food.

It would take trillions over a decade. You'd have to fix so much in so many industries just to make it work. Logistics, corruption, decentralize food production, eliminate waste. So many things.

well you don't have to buy $1000 worth of food per person for a year. there are still places in the world where people are living off of $1-3 per day so in those places, you absolutely could. but it'd be cheaper to grow the food. putting $1000/yr into crops per person would produce significantly more food. the logistics of growing and distributing it all are insane tho. could it be done? yes. pretty sure organizations have already discussed this and what it would take and cost. it wouldn't be as expensive as giving dollars for the individual to buy food.
