@hookedoncomics: When to use -k or -ck To choose between ‘k’, or ‘ck’ for the /k/ sound, use ‘ck’ after a short vowel in one-syllable words (duck, sock), and ‘k’ after long vowels or consonants (leak, milk). ‼️ Remeber there will always be exceptions! There will never be a rule that encompasses every spelling, but this is a really helpful generalization to teach kids! #todayilearned #spelling
