btw u can still feed them breastmilk after 2 without having them breastfeed. it gets to a point where they are truly too old to drink from the source just give them the bottle bro 😭

Because toddlers don’t need it. They can eat solid food. After a certain point yall are just breastfeeding for yourselves. I plan to start weening my son off BF when he’s 1, hopefully completely done by 2

Once they start drinking milk, you're nursing for comfort, not nutrition. Once they turn one and start eating and drinking milk and water they're good.

Because formula companies and dairy companies have put out enough propaganda to convince us that we need to spend money to buy their products. The government wants mothers back at work to pay taxes and that’s difficult if moms are breastfeeding.

okay i don’t plan on breastfeeding but genuinely what do you guys mean by “you’re doing it for yourself” in reference to breastfeeding passed 1yr?? like HOW i feel like if anything it’s a much bigger commitment and burden on the mother to continue to breastfeed a toddler 😭

well it’s actually recommended you breast feed for 2.5 years for best results which my mom did w both me and my brother so i didn’t realize this was a thing ppl judge for and back themselves up with misinformation…

Because at some point real food is needed and it’s a process. Also developmentally they should be transitioning from needing to be fed to feeding themselves. It’s called growth.
