Not sure of the rules in your state but she should qualify for a handicap placard for the car! I don’t always use ours but it’s nice to have it so my daughter with SB can still be independent without getting overly exhausted!

She’s doing INCREDIBLE!! My daughter used one and she got so fast we had to invent “walker jail” to keep her from running away. Never been so happy to have to be creative as a parent. I pray the same level of success for sweet girl!!

She’s doing so good, if you don’t mind some advice, the bits where you think she might fall, be quiet, don’t say anything, don’t do anything especially if she looks like she’s consenting. It can be more of a distraction than a help. Obviously keep encouraging her and celebrating everything she does but when you want to say be careful, try to say nothing and position yourself to catch her if she falls. 1- the silence can help her concentrate and 2- the fall can help her learn what not to do next time. I also suggest applying this to everything your children do :) hopefully I don’t sound condescending, it’s just a price of advice I like to give people. I think I heard it from a teacher on here.

I remember this stage with my baby cousin. She does not let the odds define her like the doctors try to say it will!! So proud of Addy girl for being so strong!! One day she won’t want her wheelchair and will want to walk EVERYWHERE!
