This is yet another repricussion of the anti-intellectualism in this country. My parents litterally told me that I deserved whatever happens to my job as a special education teacher, because what I do is a waste of money. This mindset is what we are up against. I hope they don't come crying to me about their medicare/medicaid cuts, because I've had it with their inability to care about others.

sorry but as a fellow educator I supprt dismantling the department. its failed to help education and the policies have made it harder to teach. everything is dictated to how and when to teach. we forced 5 yr old to take standardized tests when they cant read or write their names. the department has made education worse not better. the feds should nave nothing to do with how states and municipalities chose to teach.

Trump or not Trump, Department of Education or not, I just put 20 years of public education behind me in Florida and I can tell you the local districts are corrupt enough without the president being involved. I’m not a fan of any of it really… but I don’t have the power of the purse, which is what Florida runs on
