I know why spiderman is not affected because he is Peter Parker. here's my theory. jean grey can read thoughts and memories, but she can only access memories that actually exist in someone's mind. doctor strange's spell in no way home magically erased or changed people's memories of peter parker. so if jean tried to read those memories, she wouldn't necessarily be blocked by the spell itself. instead, there would be nothing there for her to find because the memories had already been erased or rewritten by magic. that's why it's possible that jean's telepathy wouldn't work on those specific memories of peter parker.
