Wuthering Waves Version 3.5 Preview Special Broadcast has officially revealed one of the biggest updates the game has seen so far. Version 3.5 expands the story into the brand-new Huanglong region of Xuanfang Hold, introducing a massive frontier city built around advanced mechanisms, new exploration systems, fresh quests, and another major chapter in Rover's journey. The update also marks Yangyang's long-awaited 5★ evolution, placing one of the game's very first companions at the center of the new storyline alongside new Resonators including Lynae, Luuk, Suisui, and Aemeath. The broadcast showcased multiple gameplay additions, including new exploration mechanics, enhanced motorbike traversal with improved drifting, investigation missions through the Mingshen System, top-down adventure segments, crane mini-games, expanded race tracks, and the return of popular combat modes such as Lament Recon and Virtual Crisis. Endgame content also receives updates with a new Tactical Hologram featuring Denia, Endstate Matrix improvements, additional Vigor adjustments, and a new medal reward system for high-level clears. Version 3.5 also brings significant quality-of-life improvements, including faster access to material farming through the Guidebook, improved filtering options, storage optimization, visual enhancements, a redesigned login screen, and updated game icon. Players can also look forward to summer outfits for Lynae and Chisa, new cosmetic accessories for Yangyang and Suisui, special rerun banners featuring Jinzhou Resonators, signature weapon reruns, and even the launch of the Xbox Series X|S version alongside the update.
