@bioncasmith3: I’m still at the gas station. 😅😅😅 After over an hour of trying to catch them…One of them was growling at our dogs in my truck and they weren’t comfortable with me taking them yet. I will be back to get them but we need to build space. Each time we bring a dog in, our costs go up and so do our safety measures and chores but it doesn’t stop us. We are on a mission to rescue 100 dogs each year and get them rehabilitated and adopted out. Im I’m honest, I’m better at giving them a forever home than adopting them out. 🙈 My motto is that the dog must adopt the human and I won’t adopt to anyone that won’t visit our sanctuary to see how they live. We’re on track to become a sustainable non profit with new monthly donation opportunities that rolled out this month and our goal is to get to 5k recurring donations so that we won’t have to fundraise for the basics each month to keep our operations going. All one time donations make a difference of course but the recurring are our direct lifeline that lets us see the future. I cannot thank you all enough for your support and I want you to know that every penny donated make a difference. The female will have to be separated at our sanctuary until fixed and possibly permanently depending on temperament. Although we let the dogs roam all of the property I got for them, some have to be rotated for safety. This costs us $1,500 to rescue a dog, vet them and quarantine them for two weeks and the costs keep adding up.
