my favorite bit of Nathan Lane lore is that he notoriously does not stop for questions or photos on the red carpet. a few years ago or more there was an interviewer who took this as a challenge, so as Nathan passes him and everyone else at a red carpet event he yelled out "Nathan! I loved you in Mouse Hunt!" and Nathan found this so amusing he stopped and said "fine, you get one question." 😂😂😂

Nathan Lane is genuinely one of the funniest actors I grew up watching. I genuinely love Birdcage because of him. His role in the 2005 Producers movie made it a fun romp to watch. He plays his characters well and he brings a level of Charisma that could only be matched by Robin Williams.

My aunt told me “don’t tell your grandma it will break her heart”. But I knew my grandma. I didn’t think that would be the case. And so that is exactly what prompted me to come out to my grandma. And my grandma reached across the table and took my hand and said “I wish you wouldn’t be” & I KNEW she was worried FOR me. And I said “me too…” & my grandma got up & hugged me. I’m glad Nathan got to experience a better relationship with his own mom I’m glad they both had that chance together.
