@ghareebfaqir: "To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return." My dear brothers and sisters, today marks a deeply poignant anniversary. Exactly 28 years ago today, on June 17, 1998, the Ummah lost a mountain of sacred knowledge and a master of Quranic exegesis: his eminence, Al-Imam El-Shaykh Muhammad Metwalli El-Sha'rawi (may Allah envelop him in His mercy). Nothing moves my soul more about his life than the miraculous way he left this world. His passing was a profound lesson in Husn al-Khatimah, the noble end every believer begs Allah for in daily prostrations. Imagine reaching a state of absolute certainty (Yaqeen). In his final days, the Shaykh chose to isolate himself entirely from creation. For 40 days, he entered a spiritual sanctuary. When his children desperately pressured him to take his medicine, he uttered words that shake the heart: "I have lost all desire for water and nourishment... Allah is my Doctor, and the Holy Quran is a healing for what is in the breasts." (Surah Yunus, 10:57) He spent his final hours entirely devoted to the Book of Allah and constant Dhikr. On his final night, he requested a full ritual purification (Ghusl), put on a fresh white jalabiya, and perfumed his body with musk and oud. He was preparing to meet his Creator. At 3:00 AM, he whispered: "Leave me alone for a while with my Lord." Moments later, the Shaykh went completely silent. He raised his eyes to the heavens, and a radiant smile illuminated his face. Out loud, with his final breaths, he began welcoming the most noble creation, crying out: "Ahlan ya Rasool Allah!" (Welcome, O Messenger of Allah!) He firmly uttered the Shahada, and his soul departed. Ya Allah! What a reception for a life spent defending Your Words. As we remember this giant of Islam today, let it be a wake-up call for our own hearts. How are we preparing for our final meeting? Ya Rabb, grant our beloved Shaykh El-Sha'rawi the highest station in Jannat al-Firdous. Bless us with a noble end, and allow our final words to be the Shahada. Please, take a moment right now to recite Surah Al-Fatiha for his soul, and comment "Ameen" to join our collective Du'a today. #death #miracle #egypt
