Male and female brown ears are only together for breeding then they stay away from one another, for this EXACT REASON. I am sick to my stomach, that zoo is a shame.

As someone who works at the Dallas Zoo in Texas, this is heartbreaking. zoos that have an AZA accreditation are zoos that truly care and put in the work to make sure their facility is perfect for the animals. animal welfare is extremely important and the priority to AZA and the facilities they give their accreditation to. The Alaska Zoo is NOT accredited by AZA and it shows. I hope Kitty is getting the proper veterinary care she needs and hope she and the other animals i. the zoo get transferred to an AZA zoo soon 🫶🏽
