"I would be able to forgive him, because I would so deeply want him to forgive me". What an incredible perspective. Something I will remember.

He’ll never forgive himself. Ever. He will carry it every day, every second for the rest of his life. To have your wife love you through this, to forgive you through it, to stay by your side is a true testament to her character, her soul, and the love she has for her husband as a person. She put herself in his shoes. Disagree all you want, but she’s exactly the partner I would want to have. 💕

I have raised 3 children. I would be a liar if I said I never looked away while parenting or grabbed a towel from a different room. I was just blessed/lucky that nothing bad happened. Please show this family some grace.

I cried so hard when she said that it could have easily happened to her and she would have so deeply wanted him to forgive her. 😭

She understands that the blame doesn’t fall on one person. It was a series of decisions made long before that day — the biggest being no pool fence. That wasn’t just a Brady decision and she knows that it could have potentially saved Trigg that day.

The way you say “ it could have been me” and be able to to forgive him and give him grace is admirable on your part. Brady always showed so much love for his son and I know he goes thru a lot trying to forgive himself ❤️

It's selfish to sit on a pedestal and think none of us would be in a particular situation because the truth is you NEVER KNOW. Life is tricky & will turn on a dime.

everyone can sit and say what they would do. you dont know this loss until you go through it, your brain wont allow this pain until a tragedy.

Makes me think of Jesus. We forgive because we have been forgiven. We love because we have been loved.

“This could have been me” those words changed my perspective. She’s right, those of us that have kids know how quick they are.. and accidents can easily happen to any of us. Instead of saying that could never be me, just focus on making sure that it never is. Judging gets us nowhere.
