that’s because russians made this “Slavic culture” propaganda, so everyone will think about Eastern European countries and culture as the same thing. so at the end it’s easier for russia to invade and spread russification over those countries

Idk as a Ukrainian I use Slavic sometimes, but not to refer to things specifically Ukrainian. Like a Slavic person from Croatia is not always going to be the same culturally, but then again we share a lot of things in common since all of us originate from the same exact ancient tribe.

or maybe it's because most of the time aspects of Slavic culture developed before we were all different countries and it's both easier this way to avoid conflict and also uniting us as an ethnicity
