@waydirtydiet: I’ve always wanted to make sous vide eggs but I don’t have the machine. So when I saw this onsen tamago method by @Vicky I knew I had to try it. Here’s her directions: Boil 4 cups of water in a pan. Once boiled, remove from heat and add 1 cup lukewarm water and remove from heat. Add 4 medium eggs. Cover and let it sit for 20 minutes. Remove the eggs and put in a bowl of ice water for 5-10 minutes. Add to your rice or ramen, garnishing with soy sauce, spring onions and sesame seeds. #waydirtydiet #Recipe #homemade #eggs #japanese #tamago
I do this another way: put the egg in a bowl and pour hot boiling water into the bowl (enough to cover the egg). Cover immediately. 10 min and you’ve got onsen eggs!

Just pour boiling water over a couple of eggs into a large bowl and sit for 15mins. Better result

It might work better if you put a small hole or crack on the round side before submerging

literally the easiest thing to do is just to boil water and let them sit in there for 5 minutes then take them out put them in a cold water another 2 minutes enough for you to be able to crack them open and touch them with your fingers and bingo best texture for poached eggs without
