Hi, I have awful daily migraines but I’m scared to try my cgrp because I also have gastritis that hasn’t healed for 3 months :( I’m miserable. Do you think it’ll be an issue?

Luckily in the UK I only have to pay the prescription charge, which is £10 monthly cgrp medication

Emgality has been a life saver but oh boy the PAs, appeals, and the price triggers a migraine in itself

Emgality injections HURT but I'll take it over the chronic migraines. Stings something shocking though.

An unexpected side effect of Qulipta when I tried to increase from 10mg to 30mg is a significant and terrifying worsening of my POTS symptoms. Apparently CGRP also regulates blood vessel tone, which is related to POTS.

In Germany it took more than 1,5 years to get Aquipta. I got it 11/25 and it’s life changing. But the way there was pain in the a$$.

I have the hair loss with Qulipta, but I don’t care if I go bald. The hair loss has slowed a little bit but I have not had this much relief from migraines since I was 8 years old and I’m 39 so I’ll take it lol I went from daily migraines to only about 3-6 a month

Emgality was amazing! But it's $1000 a dose. And I am supposed to take it every 28 days. But insurance will only fill it every 30 days. Takes 2-4 days for the pharmacy to restock it. By the time I get it it’s been almost 40 days and it's slowly less and less effective. And it hurts. I gave up. Went back to Nurtec for emergency management for only the bad ones. Because insurance won’t cover a daily preventative for Nurtec. 🤦🏼♀️

I’m 1 month in on Ajovy (coming off Botox - it stopped working) and I am baffled how good it works! No side effects for me so far.

My insurance approved my nurtec the week after I ended up in the ER for a migraine I couldn't get to break.

I just started Nurtec, worked pretty well today, but the nerve pain from my hemiplegic migraine was still pretty bad. Dr. told me to take L-carnitine to help with it but I don't know if it is actually doing anything.

My insurance company denied me qulipta. A week later I got admitted to the hospital because of complex migraine. 2 days after o got out they magically decided to go back and approve it. Wonder if it was the six figure hospital bill that made them change their mind. 🤷🏼♀️

I wonder if you could talk about this: yesterday I knew a migraine was going to hit in a few hours. I’m already on Nurtec as a preventative but my neuro gave me Qulipta to hit an attack before it starts. By the time I took the Qulipta my head was foggy, vision struggling to focus, head just not clear, but attack had not kicked in yet (I have vestibular migraines). The issue is, the Qulipta seemed to freeze the attack at that point. It didn’t escalate, but didn’t go down. It hung there in that state until I went to bed 8 hours after taking the Qulipta and was gone when I woke up 7 hours later. What even was that?

After 5 months, Aimovig lost effectiveness, and the 6th month gave me hives/rash... then tried Ajovy and Emgality, and they followed the same, but lasted only 2-3 months... Then vyepti had no effect... CGRPs were great for the short period they worked for me....
