I’ve noticed if the yellow spot is on top and starts to disappear it’s the sugar despersing back through the melon. Like a pineapple when you put it upside down 🤷🏼‍♀️

Field spots are like a bruise so if not resting on that spot it has a chance to darken showing it’s ripened a bit more since purchased.
