@brittneyringstad: Looking back isn’t always easy. Sometimes it’s hard to see what I had accepted as normal for myself. This wasn’t quick, and it wasn’t done alone. I had help from healthcare professionals, but I still had to make the daily choices, build better habits, and keep going when progress felt slow. What surprised me most was where my motivation came from. Watching my 14-year-old set goals and work toward them with determination made me realize I needed to do the same. Not perfect.
