watering down misogyny to be equivalent to misandry is an insane take. it’s very western-centered. do you even know what’s going on in the congo? the youngest victim i’ve heard about of the women’s sexual violence epidemic was a girl who was three months old. women can’t even go outside alone in some western asian countries. the most common religions worldwide, even in the western sphere, are misogynistic and believe women are too inferior to lead. feminism has NEVER just been about “equality.” it’s about liberating women from the patriarchy. when men hate women, the kill them, they sexually assault them, they mutilate them as girls. when women hate men, men get their feelings hurt.

this is the difference between knowing feminism at its core, and not taking the time to educate yourself on it. You're correct, people also don't realise when we look at society through a feminist lens we also highlight how these male dominated systems negatively impact men.
