Boy, I've seen many of your posts, you are amazing and eloquent, I love your stuff, I usually agree with everything you post! It gives me hope that I'm not the only one who thinks like you, I just am not capable of expressing it all as well as you! Thanks

I agree with everything you're saying , AND I would add that government is not the only locus of solutions. Self-governance also lies with local organizations and communities who provide timely and focused support like mutual aid and true public safety. These structures are way too few, yet they allow us to effectively care for the needs of local people and neighborhoods. I take nothing from supporting our societal structures; I am suggesting that it is a both/and. As a Black queer disabled older woman, I am also uninterested in arguments or controversies; I instead look for people who actively treat me and others with care and respect and humanity. That is the best demonstration of anti-racism possible.

Agree. Social media thrives on attention. Governance thrives on focus. Let’s focus on what’s important - governance. #DTD

Only 30 states teach civics in school in this country. understanding how our government works is what civics teaches us. this is an excellent outline to review civics teachings and channeling our energy in the solution like you are doing. trust is the most important ingredient in a relationship. thank you so much.

You, as always, are correct. It is time for “we the people” to really push back by acting and electing the right people to office no matter where, boards of education need a do over badly, show up at your next meeting. It may seem small but education is what will make us a better country. Small steps will accomplish big things.
