Third, if you ever see someone hit your sister, your future shouldn’t include standing there wondering what a conflict-resolution seminar would recommend. Parenting boys is a funny thing. Half the job is teaching them they’re capable of great strength. The other half is teaching them how, when, and why to use it. And somewhere in the middle, you’re trying to convince a tiny Viking that the living room is not, in fact, a battlefield. A boy needs boundaries. He needs consequences. He needs responsibility. He needs a father who loves him enough to correct him instead of outsourcing the job to society. Because if a father doesn’t occupy the top spot in a boy’s hierarchy, the world will happily fill the vacancy. And the world rarely interviews the candidates. Raising boys isn’t about raising obedient children. It’s about raising dangerous men who are disciplined enough to be trusted with their strength. #fathers #sons #masculinity
