I've tried to do cav and follow tips from like legendtotalwar and zerkovich but every time my cav gets stuck on units and I take massive casualties. can't cycle charge well. I avoided bretonnia entirely because of this.

cavalry is the best unit type in the game, and bretonnia has such an amazing an enjoyable cavlary, the problem is that ti get them you need to play bretonnia, and i despise the faction, like couldnt they create a campaing that doesnt make me want to cry each turn?

I always used my generals to clean up. they can get good traits by getting a lot of kills without taking too much damage. I mean in the historical total wars im not sure if these would be the same.
