(@moomowgarden_moomowworld ) 🐷 Pig Haru is inspired by all the piggies living at Animal Rights Village (@animalrightsvillage ) and Huelo Farm Sanctuary (@huelo_ohana_farmsanctuary ) 🐔 Chicken Kokoro-chan lives at second life sanctuary near Mt. Fuji (@secondlifesanctuary ) I wrote this story to help teach children empathy toward animals that many people often view only as food. However, we sometimes forget that these animals have feelings, families, and friends, and that they are not so different from us. 💚 Story written by me, illustrations by Suzuki-san @takkun_suzuki 🤩 I have never published a book before (especially not in Japan!), so this project involved a lot of research and preparation. But thanks to @vegankidsproject and @chiharu.toronto -san’s help, I was able to connect with the right people and take a big step toward publishing my very first book! 🥰 I am SO excited and can’t wait to keep you updated on the journey!
