The link is in my bio. In 2003, the Federal Reserve started giving the biggest banks legal authority to trade physical commodities. JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Bank of America. Fourteen banks, and none of those licenses have ever been revoked. Here's why that matters now. When the CFTC approved Bitcoin futures on the CME in December 2017, Bitcoin met the qualifying condition baked into those same bank orders. Then in December 2025, the CFTC approved spot Bitcoin trading on federally registered exchanges for the first time in history. That gave Bitcoin a stronger regulated footing than gold. Gold doesn't even trade on a CFTC regulated spot exchange. In March 2026, the SEC and CFTC jointly classified 18 crypto assets as commodities. And in August 2025, basically every major bank on earth signed a letter to the Basel Committee asking them to loosen the capital rules on crypto. It all fits together like a lock and key. The same banks that spent two decades building this authority don't just want the CLARITY Act, the crypto market structure law, to pass.
