About a week and a half ago we pointed the van north and took off on a road trip that’ll last the next six months. I’ll admit, those first few nights felt a little strange. In all my years of traveling, I’ve never actually done the solo thing before. The silence takes some getting used to when you’re used to sharing every sunset, every campsite, and every little moment with someone. But after a few days, Lola and I started finding our rhythm. We’ve been rolling into some beautiful places, swimming in watering holes, and ending each day with long evening walks as the sun goes down.
