I saw a good parent trick for this. The parent sets an alarm in the living room for let’s say 2am… their kid is supposed to get home by 2am and turn the alarm clock off. That way the parent can fall asleep worrying free, and if the kid doesn’t get home, it wakes the parent up

As a younger sister w a single mom and a brother who has this mentality of "What does that have to do with me" Yes it does, we can not relax our minds knowing he's out at night, who knows where with who and whats hes doing, we trust him - not the people he may be with, so please dont be assholes to people who worry about you and at least keep calling and letting them know where you're going to be, what you'll be doing, with who... It wont take you more than 5 minutes and i promise you, the hangout wont end bc you took few minutes to call your mom and tell her you're safe
