@news.touch: “GET HIM OUT OF HERE!” Convicted Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann spoke briefly at his sentencing hearing today after family members of those he killed shared victim impact statements. "There are no words that I can say," Heuermann said in the packed New York courtroom. "The words I would say have no meaning." Judge Timothy Mazzei asked Heuermann whether he was remorseful at all for what he had done to his eight victims. "Yes I am," Heuermann replied. "You're a disgusting, small man," Mazzei told Heuermann. "If you're a man at all. And you're a coward." Mazzei then ordered court officers to remove Heuermann from the courtroom, saying, "Get him out of here," which elicited cheers and someone chanting "Ogre."
