@shirleneobuobi: An addendum: people who are socialized as women are often taught to coregulate from a very young age, and this is an offshoot I have of this topic. That being said, I think while coregulation and people pleasing have some overlap, there is an element of coregulation that is harder to “sus” out because it’s not based as much in physical labor. I find that a lot of intellectualizers (like me) think it’s their responsibility to coregulate and can’t always even catch when they’re doing it. Is this you?
