I'm also 30 and been in retail since 15 (started as a co-op kid, then got hired at 16 lol). I'm exhausted, I can't fold another shirt, demo another product or do another late night VM flip in Q4. Being a manager, my goal is to apply for CRA CR-05 role (Clarical and Regulatory Officer). We have great transferable skills. I've been waiting for that specific role to open for a while, using AI to mock interview.. I'm praying to GOD I get it! it pays less than what I get paid now in retail- but hybrid makes it worth it!

I worked retail for 10 years! I also got to a point where I couldn’t wait to leave. Got me first non-retail job working as a part time admin at a vet clinic. Never went back! But sometimes I miss the retail life. The friendships and culture!
