I understand your point but a lot of parents need to understand that not everyone likes little kids, including older kids. Sometimes a playground is the only place an older sibling has to get away from their younger siblings or to see their friends and they don’t want to play with a small kid.

This makes me so sad 😢 I have a 2,6 & 9 year old boys. My 6 year old can be a bit socially awkward so would potentially just walk away if I wasn’t near him (bur never be mean!) my 9 year old wouldn’t hesitate to scoop toddlers up and play with them 🥺

My niece is a 5-year-old girl. She is the cutest and most polite child. She is well-dressed, clean, and smart. However, other kids refuse to play with her at the park for some unknown reason, and it breaks my heart. I buy her toys and ice cream afterward every time, but she still cries.

The amount of grown adults beefing with children in this comment section is crazyyy. Not saying it’s okay for kids to be mean to eachother but it is very normal for older kids to not be interested in playing with toddlers, don’t take it as a personal insult and don’t act immaturely just because it’s your kid, they’ll be in a similar situation one day.

See I call people out on it. My daughter is extremely extroverted and will tell people in stores hi. I’ve had adults glare at her and I always look right at them and tell them not to be rude to a child. She’s just being nice.

Or when the older kids run away from him and he thinks it’s a game and then realizes they are running away from him. I will never forget that look my 3 year old had. Broke my heart.
