I think it has to do with a very hard lesson she learned when she was 12. She learned kindness comes with hidden conditions. Every helping hand it’s like the beginning of a possible betrayal. I think the writers want us to see this how he is the one pulling her into his world. This was the theme of the Forbidden Fruit episode. Loved that episode. 🥰

I agree. When he said, “ how much more must I grovel and cling to you for you to open up?” I honestly agreed. I understand that her back and forth was bcs of her past and all but I would have loved to see her reciprocate a bit more. He did so much and I felt like she only gave a bit of herself. Ig her sacrifice was something but I still feel like he did more

I mean, given that she swapped into a whole new reality, it’s not bad and unrealistic that he will be more invested, especially in the first half of the series. She first had to realize she was no longer in the Joseon era, then realizing who she is in this era, try to work her way up and have a better life AND THEN worry about the feelings she had caught for him and that’s when we see her reciprocating and being open to a relationship. I don’t hate it, in fact we often see the opposite in kdramas. I’m a sucker for men falling first, lol

I read few people don’t really like Shin Seori’s annoyed attitude towards Segye. Because Segye strong and aggressive love towards Seori. But Seori’s life was still full of trauma, she constantly in a survival mode, mentally and financially. She felt confuse about herself, her so relationship was the last thing in her mind, but because Segye keep pursuing her and reassuring her that they can be together, her feelings blossoms. 🥰🥰
