@homelabwellness: I’m a Stanford PhD scientist, and as a dad I explore what helps kids thrive. Little kids need far more daily movement than most parents realize. The World Health Organization recommends at least 3 hours of physical activity each day for children ages 3–4, including at least 1 hour of energetic play, to support cognitive development, mental and social well-being, fitness, and strong bones and muscles. The good news: for little kids, play counts as exercise. #RaisingKids #ParentingTips #ChildDevelopment #ActiveKids
Note: impact creates strong bones. Tumbling/landing from a jump, punching bags - the child’s body is also learning what it needs. Exercise and impact teach the body that it needs stronger bones.
