@pirate1.0: The sole operational Lun-class ekranoplan, the MD-160, was a unique "aircraft carrier killer" that served with the Soviet Navy's Caspian Flotilla from 1987 until its retirement in the late 1990s. With a crew of 15 (six officers and nine enlisted), its primary mission was to unleash a devastating strike on enemy surface ships using six powerful P-270 Moskit (SS-N-22) anti-ship missiles mounted on its dorsal surface. With a practical range of up to 2,000 kilometers and a blistering top speed of 550 km/h, it could rapidly close the distance. Its a floating+flying masterpiece and if the Soviet Union didn’t collapse like it did and they kept funding this project and brought it out of the Caspian sea it would cause a major problems from aircraft carriers today.
