"its just loans, pay it back" I dont want to be a slave to debt for the rest of my life. more debt means you save less of your income. People dont understand. this is coming from someone in engineering who will most likely graduate with 60-70k of loans because of the changes.

I’d already decided against applying for my MES before this debacle and now I’m glad I graduated when I did. My loan for 6 years is only $12K. The rest was grants (about $40K). Now it would be the reverse. Terrible.

I get more grants to loans than most people because I have disabilities, but the loan portion is still wayyyy more than the grant. Ive been applying to jobs since September 2025 and have gotten nothing.

I had to switch from university to a local college to fast track my education so I am not crippled with debt! I’m so mad I was enjoying and doing so well in my program.

I’m on my last year of teachers college, I used to get $6,000 in grants for the year. This year my grant is $200. I feel so bad for future students, especially in this economy.

samesie! I checked the estimate and was actually shocked 😳 but am grateful for the funding the school will provide directly for the MA program. I was hoping to rely on OSAP for additional costs i.e living expenses…🤷🏽♀️

My son is taking a gap year now. He wouldn’t even be able to afford his equipment for his classes, he need a top of the line Mac book and a very specific expensive camera (photography). He be in debt before even going to college.
