Codex, it’s my far my favorite. Played with openclaw and Hermes and codex does everything they do but cheaper and more reliably. For $200 a month openAI gives you $14,000 of tokens.

Im just using my chatgpt subscription, so gpt 5.5 and 5.4 mini at the moment, so my total costs are $5 for the VPS and Under $20 a month for the sub.

Claude has been pretty solid for me. That and lamma with qwen coder 30b. But it has to be very specific and constrained. But it is a good way to save tokens when doing lots of similar straightforward stuff. I should have something to show people in the next week or two.

All I use is Claude code opus 4.8 and occasionally codex. Keep it simple, like a Mac, it just works (unless there’s an outage, then I go outside lol)
